Auckland Zoo
Auckland Zoo is home to the largest collection of native and exotic animals in New Zealand with 130 species and over 2,800 animals. There is lots to see and do all year round, including events, keeper talks and behind-the-scenes experiences.
Explore 17 hectares of naturally inspired and award-winning habitats while learning about the expert care and research keepers engage in, both in the Zoo and out in the wild. Just minutes from central Auckland this oasis is the perfect place to connect with whānau and friends.
Tracks to explore include Te Wao Nui (New Zealand’s natural treasures), Africa Safari Track, South America Rainforest Track, Australia Bush Track and the newest addition of South East Asia Jungle Track.
Auckland Zoo is a not-for-profit and every visit helps make our conservation efforts possible.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
